My dryer heats up good but it takes several cycles to dry one load of clothes.Lately my wife has reduced the size of load so that it doesn't take all day to dry one load. How do I get to the inside of this dryer to check it out.

This may seem stupid, but first off I'd check the the exhaust. You know, the lint filter and the method for which it leaves the house, for obstructions. I don't know how long you've had this problem, so if you just moved in, I think you'll find something. Also, I've known people who didn't know that their dryer had a "lint filter". So that was amusing.
