I got this art in a garbage pile, and the frame is all bused up so I grabbed it and took the frame apart and saw it was an original and the only writing on it is a number 8 SZL in a circle and Le Hameau (France). I think these words say Fierre Emmis Lecormte thats the best that I can read the script and on the top left hand corner says Paris Etching Society N.Y- USA (copyright).. Is this art worth anything?

Thanks for posting that, Ben! :)

Here's the way that it's looking on my computer. The image is actually out of the answer box!

That's much better! :)

What was wrong?

Unfortunately, Netscape seems to be the only browser that I can use with the present computer. IE doesn't work very well at all and this computer is too old for any version of Firefox. Can't even get updates from Microsoft anymore since this operating system is no longer supported.

An interested note though, is the last time that I house-sat, I was able to plug right into their wireless router and things worked just fine as far as the surfing speed.

rockport_pirate, what you have is actually quite lovely! Much more pleasing to the eye than most of those that I've seen by the outfit that distributed them. So, I would say that the potential for at least a moderate amount of monetary value is there. But, the best thing to do, would be to take it to an auctioneer or art gallery who can examine it in person to see what they say.

Thanks!
