Hello, my name is Aly and I have been having a problem with gaining weight and keeping it. I'm about 5'7 and I weight 92 lbs. I am abnormally skinny but I cannot gain weight no matter what or how much I eat. My concern for my own health is rising and I could really use some advice. Is there any programs or anything that could help me put on healthy weight?

What tests has your doctor done?

What things has he/she recommended?

Did he/she test your thyroid?

I have the SAME problem. I am 5'6 and weigh around the low 90's as well. There actually was this website my doctor recommended me but I lost the card for it. I will ask for it again and come back to you.

BUT here are some tips that helped me ALOT:
-Ensure weight drinks: You can get them at the supermarket but I recommend Walmart because they are cheaper. Its about 7 or 8 dollars for a pack of six. Anyway, one drink is 350 calories. I would drink one every night and I gained almost 10 pounds in a month. The only bad thing is, is that when you stop drinking them you loose the gained weight. At least I did. But it was nice to be 105 for the time being! You just need to be committed.
Vitamin Pills: Take plenty of vitamins like iron and calcium supplements blah blah blah. Since we're skinny, we need to try harder to look more healthy and taking a lot of diff vitamins will help.
Calories/Meals: Try to eat 6 meals a day rather than 3, even if they're small. If you're always eating, your body will turn more food into fat. Why do you think they tell people overweight to eat three healthy meals a day? Because that's how you loose weight because usually those people are just eating all the time.
Exercising: Start working out, but not really running. Do some lower and upper body workouts and gain some muscle so you look at little fuller and healthier.
Doctor: Simply ask your doctor for any concerns or tips because maybe that's just naturally how your body is, like me.

Hope this helps!
