How do I file a child abadonment warrant against my sons father? He is only a part of their lives only when it is convienent for him and I am tired of having to put my boys back together again after he has disappeared and broken promises to them. He is now married and now wants custody after almost 8 years. What should I do?

First, please pay more attention to posting guidelines. There is a Read First sticky at the top of the Children forum (where this was moved from) which directs questions of a legal nature here.
Had you read that and come here you would have found another sticky that deals with the issue of abandonment.
Child abandonment is generally a criminal charge that involves leaving a child unattended for a period. That clearly did not happen.
What you should do is prepare to fight him in court. Did you ever file for child support? Was a support order ever granted?
It's unlikely he will get custody from you, but it is likely he will get some visitation rights.

You don't take a warrant out on him.
In many states even not seeing the child and not paying child support is not grounds to take away rights.
What you do is fight in court over custody, and visits.
Has he been paying his child support, if not what are you doing to collect.
Is there even a custody order in place ?
