I have always loved hand painted eggs, have collected them from all over the world. But now I want to paint or découpage some myself as gifts. I know to use acrylic paint, and I'm purchasing the eggs already cleaned and sanitized. What I need to know is a source for the supplies. The bases, the tools to drill delicate holes, the hangers, ribbon, hinges etc.

Any suggestions? I live in Los Angeles, but am fine with mail order supplies as well.

Thank you!

Have you checked art's and crafts stores in your area? Place's like michael's, maybe even joann's. My cousin is an art major at UCLA, I remember seeing at least a few smaller art stores in that area.

HI,
I just looked on You Tube and they have a bunch of cool vids on how to découpage eggs. They give good tips and ideas. Just type in How to Make Decoupage Eggs and you will get lots of fun vids.
