Hello,
I have just replaced a speed control switch on my ceiling fan and now it doesn't work at all.The kight works but the fan makes a humming sound when I try to turn on the fan.I did switch the (4)wires one at a time so I didn't mix the wires up. Please Help!

You probably have the wrong replacement switch. What make is the fan?
