I walk by him holding my breath
He stares at me with those eyes
Smiles that beautiful smile
And my hear beats out of my chest
I'm just waiting for the day to come
When he realizes what he means to me

I've been waiting around for you
Hoping you would feel the way I do
And one day when you realize you need me,
It will be too late prince charming
Its time to find someone new

I lay awake at night
Thinking of what we could be
When I close my eyes I picture us together
Nothing in the world makes me happier
But that's just another dream that will never come true

I've been waiting around for you
Hoping you would feel the way I do
And one day when you realize you need me,
It will be too late prince charming
Its time to find someone new

You build up my hopes
Then let me down
Its time for me to let go of the past
And on day you will see...

I've been waiting around for you
Hoping you would feel the way I do
And today is the day you realize you need me too
But its to late now
Goodbye my friend
Its time for me to find my real prince charming

What do you think?

Hi, alexissnicoleee!

I think that you've written some excellent thoughts! Do you have an idea as to the meter and style of music that your lyrics might be put to, please?

Thanks!

I think there's some very strong emotions in this song and that the substance is very strong.

I would try to be a bit more cryptic at front and try to portray a different perspective maybe in your other verses.

That way the song strays away from seeming like a run on sentence.

This song stays to the point but there should be more thoughts involved

Just my thoughts but overall I like the work.

I concur with drink. This reads more like a poem than a song. Songs to me are less precise and leave more to interpretation. I do like the chorus idea though. =)

P.S. I am not a song writer or even in the music business so I most likely don't know what I am talking about- just wanted to give some input..

Good Luck!
