Gary from Scotland.

Hello, my name is Gary and recently my ex fiancée gave birth to my baby boy David. :)
Unfortunately arguments broke out between us and she registered the birth without putting my name on the certificate. The baby was born in England where she lives now and I was there for the birth. We broke up when she was 5 months pregnant. I live in Inverness, Scotland and am desperate to get on the birth certificate so that hopefully I have a right to see my son. She was up in inverness two weeks ago and let me see him but it was only for an hour and I wasn't allowed to take him to see my family. Also was not allowed to be alone with him. She told me she was not going to put me on the because because she could not trust me. I love my son and would do anything for him. Could you please reply to this letter to let me know if there is anything I can do.

Yours thankfully

Gary

Get yourself a good solicitor and file for paternity. I am not 100% sure of the process in the UK but believe it is similar to the US where you file for paternity, a DNA test proves you are the father and then you can assert your parental rights and have visitation and custody awarded as well as pay support.

A local solicitor will be able to best guide you.
