I was served a summons and complaint 15 days prior to my 30 day notice expired, I filed my answer before the 5th day, and then I received a copy of a notice of motion for summary judgement or summary adjudication of all affirmtive defenses, declarations and points and authorities in support thereof: what is this and do I need to file a answer, the court date shows nov 19, 2009.

What State?
What are the grounds for eviction and what was your defense? There should be a "blurb" about how long you have to respond to the Motion.

I was a former month to month tenant, when landlord approached me with a prop manager position, I took the position with understanding that if it didn't work out I wld continue as a month to month tenant, aftr 5 months, I was no longer needed and given a 10 day notice to give up property, after talking to landlord he agreed that I cld continue as long as I paid rent, then after about 15 days I was served a 30 day notice to terminate tenancy, after 15 days I was served a summons and complaint (ud) I filed my answer, then the plantiffs atty sent me a copy of a notice and motion for summary judgement or summary adjudication of all affirmative defenses declarations and points and autorities in support thereof: with a court date of nov 19, 2009 in California court states that if I fail to file a written response or opposition to this motion with the court before the time set for the hearing it is likely that the court will grant all that the plaintiff has requested. What form of written response do I need to file, I don't have nor can I afford a atty.
