Hi, SuperGirlsCrazi!
Whether something is an "addiction" or not, can be a debatable issue.
What exactly are you wanting to know here, please? Is there a particular substance about which your inquiring?
Thanks!

Does the need take your attention from your daily activity?
Do you plan the next time you will use, anticipating the next usage days ahead, then find relief at the time of use?
Does your personality change with the first use?
These are basic questions only you can answer honestly, addiction is difficult for others to diagnose, unless blatantly obvious(crimes to support the habit, etc)Only you can decide if you are an addict.

Addictions are when the person absolutely must have this substance to "get through" the day with. It is irrelevant if it interfers with their work or not.

Have you tried unsuccessfully to quit or cut back?
Do others think you have a problem?
Do u spend the majority of your time using, thinking about using, recovering from using, obtaining or planning to obtain the substance?
Is it interfering w job, school, relationship, other responsibilities?
