I can't remember the title or author of a book I read in the past few years. I think it was even a book on Oprah's list. It 's about two brothers growing up in India and delves into the caste system. At one point, one of the characters is a tailor, I believe, and someone ends up having his legs amputated. I remember I couldn't put it down and I'd like to recommend it to a friend -- my over-50 brain just can't remember anything! Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks!
