I've have owned a mens ring for many years that was a gift to me. I've been trying to find out who made it. The hallmark on the back has what looks like "R&R QUAD" OR "RBR QUAM" . It is hard to read now as I've had this for around 30 years. Anyone know who made it? e-mail me at EMAIL REMOVED FOR PRIVACY or answer on here.
Thanks

Hey there!
I'm from New Mexico. I moved here a few years ago and am on the border of the Navajo Reservation.
I'm afraid I can't say who created your ring. But I can speak to the nature of turquoise rings in the region. There is a huge demand out here for them, and even greater supply.
Where I live you cannot go to Walmart or to eat, or walk downtown without being solicited to purchase silver jewelry. I have maybe a few dozen friends in this new region and a 1/4 of them can make jewelry, and each one of them has a family member who does.
My neighbor is a jeweler too. The other major thing to know about the region is that most are not on-line. In the greater part of the reservation many don't even have running water or electricity. Some by choice, some by chance.
Short of asking people in the streets and happening across the creator, you may not find him.
I did do a Google search and didn't find anything. If he is a large Jeweler you may contact some of the local Trading posts to see if they recall the name.
A few at least in my area are Shush Yaz Shusy Yaz - shushyaz.com (http://www.shushyaz.com/santafe/main.htm) and Ellis Tanner Ellis Tanner Trading Company • Gallup, New Mexico (http://www.etanner.com/)
