17 yr old had small accident minimal damage done to car. She hit someome from behind and some one hit her so her car was sandwich in between two cars. Still very minimal damage done. However her insurance was cancelled on the 17th and the accident happened on the 22nd. She went to court and she had to pay no fine for the failure to maintain however she had to go back next month for the insurance part. She currently has insurance now got insurance the day after can she loose her license, or car suspesion or will she just have to pay a fine. Live in West Virginia.

Up to the judge, most likely license will be susupended till she pays for all the damage to the car she hit. ( unless that is already paid)
If she goes to court with proof that was paid, proof she now has insurance ( she may be required to file a SR22 report with the state for a period, which will double or triple her cost of insurance. There will be a fine, here in Atlanta it is about 500 to 1000 for no insurance.

OK... she has insurance now it was issued the day after the accident... we haven't heard whether she was at fault or not it is still under investigation through the insurance of the girl she hit. What had happened... she was coming home from school the girl in front stopped then my daughter stopped and a car behind her stopped hit my daughter in which she hit the girl in front of her, so my daughters car had most damage which is 500.00. The girl in front turned her info into insurance co. so we haven't paid anything to any car nor have we heard from the insurance co. of other girl. She went to court to contest the failure to maintain she didn't have to pay a fine nor had points against her but she has to do community service which is only 20 hrs. she just got the letter today stateing that she had no insurance at time of accident to be in court next month, but at that time she will be 18, not sure if that will change anything or not... so would they susupend license still? Or just make her pay a fine and file a SR22?

West Virginia has mandatory insurance laws and she was driving without insurance. No southern lawyer here but I think she will likely loose her license or pay a very hefty fine, that what happens in Illinois.

She got a ticket for failure to maintain ( that is space between vechiles) that puts her at fault for the first accident.
If you hit someone from behind you are going to be at fault
