I been trying to find info on this artist for years. I own two Melton's; one similar to this one and a black & white. If you find any info please email me at [email protected]. Thx.

Hi, That's a very nice picture. It certainly is a similar to mine except for the season. I have a summer scene with child and mother walking down path with old weather beaten structure and lake. It's 5' x 3' with frame included. It appears to be oil on canvas but I'm a novice. We purchased for it's beauty and believe it to be valuable. [email protected]

it was painted by james melton from europe...

I got my first one in an estate sale here in Florida... then bought my second one on eBay...

both are oil in canvas and more than 20 x 24 inches.

I too have one very similar to the one pictured. Only my picture has a nice 2 part house with a water wheel and a boy fishing. The tree and structure are in the same place. Definitely the same artist and series. No idea what its worth. Paid $6 bucks at a resale shop on the half off color day on 01/2011.

I have a Melton with similar signature that is about 2 ft by 1 ft.
I got it from my late father, who picked it up at a garage sale for $1.
It is just trees in a forrest with a river running through it.
Very colorful and pleasant.

Not sure if I would wan't to sell it, but I'm curious about the value.
Thanks,
