I have a huge hole to fill in my back yard where an above ground pool used to be. It is about 20 feet by 15 feet and is about 18" deep on one long side and 10" deep on the other side (the backyard slopes toward a drainage ditch. How can I fill this cheaply??

Hi sharonmm, welcome to AMHD :)

The size of your depression measures out to 22.22 cubic feet and to fill that with dirt, would take 7200lbs of dirt.
Order up 3.5 ton from a local landscaper, cost? From 235 to $300. It's your call if you want him to drive on your property to get close to the dump site.
If your near any housing developments, some contractors may dump construction dirt, (maybe for free) but then its loaded with broken brick, cinder block and such, and still needs to be covered with good dirt
