I have a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law and both are addicted to ICE or meth. They both smoke this in my mother-in-laws home! She has a incureable disease(sarcodiocious)! I believe this is making her sicker! I was wondering did anyone know the effects of second hand meth smoke. I would like to be able to print a article out to show my mother-in-law. So she then might believe that this is harmful to her health and others who visit the home. Your help would be greatly appriciated.

Hi smwillis, I don't find any results with the spelling of the disease you gave us "sarcodiocious". Can you please check the spelling.

I'm sorry the word is spelled sarcoidosis. I believe Barney Mack had this disease.

Since meth is made from mostly caustic chemicals the same as crack cocaine is, the effects of someone smoking this stuff "second hand" as in being in the same household would most definitely cause more problems health wise than if they are in a clean environment without the meth. I had a bipolar friend visit a house where crack was being smoked. He stayed in the house for about 1/2 hour. When he came out he was definitely under the influence of crack as he acted extremely manic destroying property, etc. I am sure that meth second hand would be the same.
Since that disease is an autoimmune disease that can affect your lungs - then definitely any second hand smoke will enhance this disease and cause her to have more and more respiratory problems. It would not be as bad if they smoked regular cigarettes but since it's meth you need to look up the horrors of meth. You will be worse than revolted that people actually harm their systems like this and keep on doing the meth.

Meth Ingredients:
Drano, Brake Fluid, Lithium From Batteries (Battery Acid), Lighter Fluid, Rubbing Alcohol, Drain cleaner, Gasoline additives, Paint thinner, Freon, Camp stove fuel, White gasoline, Ammonia, Cold Remedies, Hydrochloride, Hydriodic Acid, Red Phosphorus, Lye, Ether (Starter Fluid), Iodine Ephedrine.
Crystal Meth (Also referred to as: speed, crank, ice, glass) causes the heart rate to be greatly increased and irreversibly damages blood vessels to the brain ultimately leading to strokes.
Crystal Meth causes respiratory problems, heart palpitations, and extreme anorexia. The long term affects of meth use include cardiac arrest, and death as a result of oxygen being unable to get to the brain sufficiently. Most of the meth ingredients are in and of themselves toxic and deadly, as are the fumes that are produced when making meth.
This is the same when the meth is then smoked.

The mother is subject to all these side effects when she is in the same household day in and day out breathing the meth fumes. I agree with you that this is definitely making her sicker!! Have her get them out of her home as soon as possible or her health will go downhill faster with them around.
