My parents gave me up before I was even born. I was adopted at 7 hours old. I have met my mother. I know nothing about my father. My mother only knows his first name and my adoptive parents gave me a false name for him. I have no money to spare so I can't pay to find out who he is. I just want to know who he is so I can know who I am. How do I find out who he is?? Somebody please help me??

If your birthmother only knows his first name, you're probably out of luck.

You could hire an LPI, but chances are he didn't even know your mother was pregnant (or she'd know his last name).

You already know who you are--who donated genes to you isn't who YOU are.

I suggest seeing a counselor to work through your feelings regarding your adoption.

My adopted father knew my biological father. And he knew my mother was pregnant.

Then why will your adoptive parents not help you?

I should have asked---How old are you?

Without a full name, it's going to be next to impossible to find him.
