Is it possible for my boyfriend and I to regain our Parental Rights after it's been terminated and our daughter has been adopted out?

If your daughter has been adopted, the answer is no. If she is still in foster care... the answer is probably not. But a good lawyer and sympathetic judge MIGHT help.

How long ago? What state?

No,no and no.

See... here's the thing.

It CAN be done. It depends on the state, and how long ago the child went with the adoptive parents.

If someone is new to the adoption triad, the terminology may be wrong--the child may NOT have been adopted yet, but may still be placed with the adoptive parents.

SOME states DO have a time where you can change your mind after signing away parental rights. But it's usually not a very LONG time.

I really wish the OP would come back and give us more information.

Syn - it doesn't *seem* as though this was a voluntary signing of parental rights. If it was involuntary, its pretty much a done deal if the child has been adopted.

Good point--if it's an INvoluntary termination, you're out of luck.
