L1B Blanket-
Can you please specify the prerequisites for applying this VISA? (specially, 1 year rule)
My company has an approved blanket, but I was on F-1 in U.S.A for last 3 years. What implications does that have for me?

You have to have one year experience in the previous three years in a specialized knowledge capacity AND a degree in the field to qualify for the blanket.
1. have you worked for them for a year?
2. do you have the requisite degree?
If you don't have the one year, you don't qualify for the L-1B at all. If you do have the experience, but not the degree, you do not qualify for the blanket L-1B, but the company can file an individual petition for you.

I am on this company's Payroll since April'05. But, I was on leave without pay since July'06 till July'09. During this period I was a MBA student in USA and was receiving pay slips from company with '0' salary.
Now I have returned to India and resumed work since August'09. My company wants to send me for a project to USA for 12 months. But a clause stating "1 year experience with employer within past 3 years" is troubling me.
Please suggest what could be done. An L1A/L1B Blanket/Individual, H1/B - which Visa could be applied for me?
Thanks in advance.

There is a possibility if the company sent you to the US and paid for your degree. If not, easier to get an H-1B. There are still numbers available for you to work immediately.
