There is one type of question regarding inequalities that I cannot get. I can get most of the other ones but when you need to solve for a question with an x on all 3 sides of the inequaltiy. An example of this type of question would be:
x+1<2x+7<x+5
Thanks for any help!

break up the inequality, and solve them like you would with algebraic equations with "x"s on both sides of the equation.
solve for
s_1=x+1<2x+7
and
s_2=2x+7<x+5
your solution should display
s_1<x<s_2
OR
subtract x from all terms, then you would have something your more familiar with
1<x+7<5
