A few weeks ago, I felt twicthing in my left upper eyelid. I could feel it but it was not visible form the outside. It happened a few more times in the next week or so. Now I am having these eyelid twitches throughout the day. You still can not see it but the twitching can last for about 30 seconds many times a day! Along with the twitching, I have been getting sharp pains. It literally feels like the pain is behind my eye! I can not exactly describe the pain. It feels like a sharp headache directly behind my left eye.

I can not afford to see a doctor but this is driving me crazy! Does any one have any ideas of what could be causing this and what I could do about it? I take no medications so it can not be an allergic reaction! By the way, I had two twitches in the short time it took me to write this! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I've never heard of anything more ridiculous!

Facial ticks are often caused by tiredness and stress and they can, occasionally, be painful. Your picture shows 2 young children, so you probably have good reason to be tired. Try to relax and don't focus on the tick - usually they go away once you're less tired or stressed.

However, if it continues you should see a doctor. Anything around your eyes is potentially serious and you must get it checked out.
