I plan on storing my classic Mercedes outside during the winter in northern climes in a waterproof storage tent. If I add a fluorescent bulb constantly burning inside the vehicle, will that reduce damaging moisture and mildew levels? Thank you.

Don't do that, just find some descant bags and place them in there. You'll be fine.

Are descant bags the musical instrument bags? Thanks very much.

These are the bags of silica gel you find in most packaging nowadays. They absorb moisture. Larger bags can be found but where, I don't know right now. I found this site for you to see exactly what they do. Desiccant City: Desiccant Frequently Asked Questions (http://www.agmcontainer.com/desiccantcity/desiccant_faqs.htm#FAQ1)
I put lava rock bags under my seats, they absorb odors. Also, Charcoal briquettes help absorb moisture and odors. Put them under the seats and let them remain while stored.
