Hey my name is Rachelle I am 13 and weigh about 78kg. My parents won't allow me going on a diet they just say that I have big bones but I really need to go on a diet because I am sick of people teasing me about it. I've told them about the teasing. I don't want to disappoint them but then I don't want to suffer in this misery. What should I do?

Maybe your parents are concerned that you won't get enough of the nutrients your growing and changing body needs. Something to consider is maybe increasing excersize and if you eat a lot of junk food, just switching to healthy alternatives. Don't worry so much about the "diet" as just choosing to make healthy choices

I agree with tas4eaad1, maybe you could compromise with your parents in just getting some healthier alternatives..

Go shopping with them and when your mom picks up a tub of butter, convince her to get low fat margarine. Or instead of a block of chocolate, get some sugary fruits like apples or strawberries.

When she goes to cook a steak in a tonne of butter, try to convince her to cook it with a canola spray...

Changing your lunch to things like tuna (in water, not oil) and lettuce sandwiches with no butter or marg are great.
Cut out fattening extras like cheese.

Do you have a dog?
Taking the dog for a walk can be a great way to exercise and earn some 'brownie points' for doing a chore.
You never know, it might increase your allowance too ;)

You can do some exercises in your bedroom to.
Dancing is a great one, just put on a cd and go crazy busting out some moves.
