I am relocating to hungary from India. After selling my apartment and settling my loan I want to transfer the remaining funds to Hungary. Need assistance as to how I can do that and what would be the charges for the transfer.

Obviously the easist method would be to set up a bank account in Hungary and then get your bank in india to transfer across, of which they will be able to explain the charges

Alternative is to find if there is a local Western Union to you in Hungary and transfer the money that way, but a bank transfer would be safer

Thanks for the speedy reply. However the problem is that I will be flying to hungary in less then 7 days and the procedure you mentioned with the bank is a lengthy one. Will it not be possible to carry the funds and declare it at the airport?
