I have been reading so much on this forum about retin a.. I am a little confused about what retin a does does it help to lighten dark spots and even out your skin tone or is it just for acne? Where can I order some and is the gel or the cream better?

The cream is usually in 0.5-0.25%

The gel is 0.1% (the strongest)

You can order it from alldaychemist. It's very cheap, like 2 oe 3 dollars a tube but the shipping is $25 because its overseas in India. Just order in bulk if I were you

Retin A helps diminish wrinkles, tighten the skin, and peels it to reveal fresher newer skin. It's really effective when you use it with a lightening cream. That way you can get very very light

Putting on retin a is like a mini chemical peel almost. It doesn't lighten you, but like GG said, when used with a lightener it works better, because it penetrates deeper because retin a sloughs off layers of the skin, its great for hyperpigmentation.

Well since you never used Retin A before I would start with .05%

I've been using Retin A on and off for the past few years and I am curently using the strongest 0.1%, and it's not even making me peel that bad. I am just used to it.

But back when I never used it before, I was flaking all over the place

With the gel, it's difficult to apply too much. The cream can leave your skin raw. The major Retin-A issue is you need to limit sun exposure. You'll turn red easily.

Wind can be nasty on a dry face as well.

I have adult acne.

Thanks KeepItSimpleStupid. So gel is best for me then, so I can use only what I need and stretch it as long as I can.

I ordered the strongest.. willing to take the risk... should I mix it with my cream or apply both separately? How long did it take you to get your products from alldaychemist? Sorry for all the questions.

Has anyone from the UK ordered retin-a from alldaychemist before? If so, how was the transaction? Did you have to pay to clear it from custom in the UK? I'm only asking this cause a few months ago I ordered liposomal vitamin C and Glut from the USA and had to pay nearly £20 to get it cleared from custom...

The generic retin-a 0.05% (tretinoin gel 20gram) from AllDayChemist for $2.52. They also have 0.025% & 0.10%, they have good reputation, but their s&h is high, so I ordered several hq and r-a.
