I am a felon living in Glendale Heights, IL and I can't find a job to save my life. Where can I go to find employment that's in bicycle riding distance from said town?

No I haven't. How would they be able to help me and where would I find the Safer Foundation?

Please contact them. They can help you! What they do, is to help people who've had convictions to find employment and to get a fresh start at life. They're located in the Chicago, IL area and around where I live.

Here is the link: Home - Safer Foundation (http://www.saferfoundation.org/viewpage.asp?id=4)

You'll find contact information for them on the site.

I'm wondering what sort of education, skills, job experience and training that you've already had. Would you mind sharing that? There also might be the possibility for you to be self-employed in some way.

Thanks!

I have about 5 yrs in the food service industry; Portillo's, Domino's Pizza, Chuck E. Cheese, and a movie theater concession stand. I also have 3 yrs experience as a security officer in an office building and I also do some graphic design and freelance photography which I do not have any form of degree for.

Do you have a resume all formatted and ready to give to a potential employer or someone who can help you, please?

Thanks!

There may also be some educational opportunities available through the Safer Foundation. I would suggest asking them about anything that they have to offer.

I'm glad that you're going to be giving them a call! :)

Thanks!
