How are payouts determined in slot machines? Are they ramdon? Or are they programmed to payout after predetermined sloy plays?

Your question may be missleading are you asking about the payout structure(xxx is 100 ccc is 200 etc) if so then the casino itself sets that figure. Or are you talking about odds of hitting say xxx which is also set by the casino. Or are you asking does it only pay out after say 500 pulls for xxx which the answer would be no it may have a 1-500 odd's(or much higher for the higher payouts) but they could happen back to back to back. Its just very unlikely.

Server based slots are the progressive slots that are hooked to other slots in other casinos.
Land based are hooked to other slots only in the casino.
