We have been married since May 1, 2009 in the state of Florida and over the weekend my husband claimed that an attorney told him that he could have me removed from the house since I was not on the lease, is this true...

If he wants a divorce doesn't he have to file one and then the judge has to decide who lives in the rented house?

lilmoma, why would you want to live in the same house as him under these circumstances ? I would be gone, like yesterday. What does it matter how and why after your husband basically states he doesn't want you there.

He can tell you anything he wants. There is no one that can force you to leave and if he changes the locks he can be sued for it.

The police will not touch the complaint with a 10 foot pole and the landlord has to evict all of you.

He's lying that a lawyer told him that he could have you removed. Or the lawyer should be disbarred.
