Sorry to be redundant in my question, but I am replacing the electric baseboard heaters currently in my home. Mainly since I am doing a remodel and these things are not in the best of shape. They a Dayton electric heaters from Graingers, I was looking at Lowe's and Home Depot and they both carry Fahrenheit. Does anyone have an opinion as to which brand would be better, I know everyone says they are all 100% efficient no matter what their cost, but is there a better or more reputable brand?

Also would it make sense to replace the old dial thermostats with new programmable thermostats. And again which brand name has the better reputation?

Thank you for your help?

The units are about the same and as you said they are 100% efficient. Most electric baseboard heaters last almost forever and the only reason to replace the thermostats would be for a automatic set back to save energy by lowering the temperature in the rooms not used at different times.

There are oil filled units that claim to have smoother radiation of heat but they cost big bucks and really are no different than the standard ones.
