My phones don't work inside. Outside at the verizon box the phones work. Also, a lite that says POTS is lit inside the verizon box that should not be lit.

That's kind of tough. Do you have FIOS? I don't have any experience with FIOS.

You basically know that you may have a problem with the inside wiring. The first step is to disconnect the phones or just try picking up a phone and hanging it up again. Don't forget to wait a few minutes for the phone system to re-connect your line.

That's where I would start.

When the POTS light is blinking, an extension has been off the hook for over one hour.
