I am 18 and have a very heavy period. I actually have to change the super plus tampons every hour and a half or else I bleed through. I was wondering if this was a problem. Also, I have big thick black clots about the size of golfballs that come out on the tampon or when I pee. I was wondering why??

Firstly, when bleeding this heavily it is not advised to wear tampons. This can cause the clotting you are talking about.

Secondly, have you seen your doctor about this? Is this common for you or a first time thing?

This happens every period I have had for about the past year but the clotting started about 8 moths ago. I have not been to the doctor yet but am schedueld to go oct 12

Good keep that appointment. Many women clot during periods, but you need to make sure, from the doctor, that this is normal for you.
