My friend has a book that she read years and years ago. It was about a girl who moved to a new house (or maybe a summer house). Before she moved there, another girl used to live there, but she died. The girl now living there finds a red box, and inside is all the dead girl's stuff. Especially some postcards. The girl looks through them with her friend, and notices one postcard that is folded into thirds. She thinks this is odd, so she gives her friend a different postcard (not folded) and asks him to put it into his pocket. When he does, he folds it into fourths. She realizes there is something important about the postcard being folded into thirds. Turns out, when she read along the creases, she could find out who murdered the little girl.
