I wrote a bad check. I covered the check 2 days later with cash. 3 weeks later she cashed the check again. Is this leagal?

Yes and know, if you knew the check was "bad" when you wrote it, that is actually wrong but the actual crime in law comes when the check is not honored.

It shows poor judgement and poor book keeping, never write a check unless there is money to cover it.

Next time wait to write the check till the money is in the bank.

Well, I did not know the check was going to be bad. I had some automatic payments come out of my account the same day. But I paid her in cash, then she cashed the check again and collected the money twice. My question is THAT leagal for her to do.

Did you get a receipt for paying her? If you can prove you paid her in cash, then she is guilty of stealing.
