I have a painting that seems to be a reproduction on board. Its of 3 children reading a book.

On the back says: cs1266 albo: once upon a time. It looks old.

I can provide the picture upon request if needed, just wondering if anyone knows anything about this?

Thanks!

It would be great if you could post a picture, would make it easier to search for information.

njcreate,
It seems there was an Estonian artist that went by three names Rod Palmer,A.Curtis and Auguste Albo, he could possibly be the artist as the information in the following links mention him to be a versatile artist.

firmbeliever-

Thanks for your help! I had also found those websites, but can't seem to find anything about that one specific painting.. I know it must be a reproduction.. not sure if it would even be worth anything.. you think?

You are welcome, though it wasn't much help identifying it.

It seems this artist did so many, there is very little record of his work, not even sure an appraisal will help identify this as a reproduction of his work.

If it was done by another artist, hopefully someone else will be able to help find out.

You might want to show it to a museum just to see if they recognise the label or artwork.

Hello!
I am 13 years old and I've had two prints by artist August Albo for as long as I could remember. I've only now decided to research the artist and find the name of the paintings, but without success. Only one has his signature in the bottom-right corner. The first painting is of 13 ballerinas dancing before a green-blue background. The other (without a signature) has 11 ballerinas dancing in front of what looks like some gorgeous trees and a misty lake. Also, these prints are BIG. I just assumed that the signature-less painting was also by Albo because the detail and versatility resembled the other. If anyone knows anything about these two paintings, I would LOVE to know!
Thanks!

Here is another auction result for one of his oil on canvases. It didn't go for much.

There are a couple of others there up for auction.
