What is the correct procedure for writing a letter to a judge to request an early end to probation?
What points should be emphasized and do you have sample letters?

How long was your probation for? Also felony or misdemeanor? How much of the probation have you served? Do you have any fines or programs you are court ordered to complete or pay?

Hello again, y:
I can't imagine why they'd give you SO much probation, and NO prison time... It's BEYOND credulity. Nonetheless, the drug war is crazy and so are the sentences... But, I digress...
IF you have 25 years of probation, you'll have to finish MORE than 3 to ask for an early release.. I'd try after 10. There's got to be SOME reason why they want you under supervision for so long.

Well back in MN I WAS ON AN UNSUPERVISED PROBATION I DIDN't even have a probation officer assigned to me. But here in CA I have to slide a card once a month and pay a certain amount once a month and I do have a po assigned to me but don't have to see her
