I received a summons from JPMorgan Chase regarding a credit card debt. We are working with a debt settlement firm. I have sent the debt settlement company the information already but have to answer the complaint. I understand that I need to tell Chase that I understand the debt is mine and I have sent them letters giving our Debt settlement company limited power of attorney and told alerted Chase in writing that we were have financial trouble. Is there anything else I should be requesting in the answer to the complaint?

You may want to also tell JPMorgan that, to please send any/all future correspondence(s) directly to the debt settlement company that you have retained. Also be sure to respond to the complaint summons with the courts too.<<(.. just checking.. ~).. Have a good day~

You will need to find out if the debt company is really doing anything, if you are working with them, do they have an agreement with the credit card company. If they are really working with the credit card company the credit card company would not be have a law suit against you.

You need to appear in court and show judge proof that you are working with the company. The debt settlement company neneds to provide you with proof that there is some agreement with the credit card company.

JPMorgan is under no obligation NOT to correspond/contact the debtor - if they choose to cooperate with the consolidation company, that is their decision but they are under absolutely no obligation to do so.

An Attorney is a different situation.
