Hey, I just signed up at school for Radiology. Now I am thinking that due to a felony 4 years ago I might not be able to. Especially do to the fact that they just charged it 2 years ago. Really I am a great person, I know what I did was wrong but I have learned from my mistakes and I am trying to fix every thing but every thing stops as soon as I tell them that. I want to know if Radiology will do the same thing. I live in Ga. I am a single mom who needs a career. Some one please tell me they got into radiology with a drug felony!!

It isn't exactly the radiology school that may object, but actually the hospitals you would be applying to for work. Some may have certain guidelines regarding felonies. There is no reason why you can't check into that before applying. I would say, take your course.

Unfortunately, most hospitals will not hire anyone who has a felony of any kind in their background. This includes radiologists all the way down to maintenance and housekeeping.

If you cannot get the charge expunged you will not be able to work or even obtain your ARRT certification. ARRT has very strict guidelines for drug and fraud offenses. Zero tolerance. If you can get the charge dismissed, then a hospital may hire you. However, charge dismissal if not enough for ARRT. ARRT must have the expungement. Good luck.
