We have 3 coach lights outside by our garage doors. They stay on whether it's light outside or dark. We first noticed it 2 days ago. Why would this be and what can we do to fix the problem ourselves?

Thank you for your help!

Do they go off when you turn the switch off? Have you changed any switch settings. Are they on a motion sensor or a photo cell?

There is a sensor on the side of the garage outside which allows the lights to come on at dusk and turn off at dawn.

That is the photo cell. Sounds like it is faulty. During daylight there should be no squiggle line through it. Easily replaced.

Great. I appreciate your help. Any chance you could email me instructions on how to replace the part?

New photo cell will come with instructions. Only three wires, white, red and black. White is neutral, don't remember if black in input and red output or the other way around. Just keep track of which black house wire is connected to red photo wire.

Black on the photocell is usually the input. Red usually the output. Just changed one one a week ago.
