Hi, I am the owner of a cute little german shep/lab mix.. she is 5 years old we think. We rescued her during a hurricane about 4 years ago. Anyway, I am taking care of her right now for 2 weeks while my parents are over in Switzerland.. she knows who I am, looooooves me.. but lately she has not been eating. She seems to be herself, we have been walking, but not as much as maybe my mom and her do.. I am just concerned and don't want to worry my parents if this is just trivial! Thanks!

It sounds like she is more than probably just missing your parents.

She may well love you but are you then one who normally feeds her?

When dogs get into a routine they don't like breaking out of it.
I feed my dogs every night, but when my partner tries to put their food down on the odd, they refuse to eat. They are just so used to me doing it.

Not only that but they consider your parents as their 'pack leaders' They are the ones she looks up to and follows, you are just her play mate.
