Hi, 4cheese3!

How old are you, please?

If you're in the early stages of puberty, what you're experiencing wouldn't be all that uncommon and is normal, that is, to have them frequently. However, what are some of the things that you're doing that are the most likely things to cause the erections, please?

For instance, sitting in a classroom and thinking about a girl or girls that you like; having your pet lie down on your lap; lying on your stomach in bed, being close physically to someone to whom you're attracted, etc.

Thanks!

The best thing you can do for school is wear loose pants and boxers

Hi again, 4cheese3!

Wearing long t-shirts can also help. Also, have you spoken with a doctor about the problem that you're having?

Thanks!

I have a dress code so I can't do that stuff

Hi again, 4cheese3!

So, what types of clothing are you allowed to wear to school, please?

Thanks!

When you find yourself in this position, think of something awful.Something that really turns you off.
Or do a calculus problem in your head.
Recite the alphabet backwards.
Use your books to hide it during school.
You could try wearing two pairs of boxers.
It is not uncommon.

This is totally normal.

You're 15, you body is growing, you penis has a mind of it's own and won't listen to you.

Heck, at 15 a breeze could cause an erection.

Don't worry too much about it.

Now, to avoid embarrassment, do what Artlady suggested, think of something that's a complete turn off. Kicked puppies, math homework, Bea Arthur. ;)

Don't worry, this too shall pass.

Hi, artlady!

Yes, it's not uncommon, and I was going to get into the "thoughts" thing. But, thank you for pointing it out!

As a former school music, choir and band teacher for a number of different grades, I always was careful for mixed choruses as to when to ask everyone to stand up!

Thanks!

I asked my son what he did during these awkward times and he said he sort of took care of business before school,if you get my drift.

Now, that was good, artlady! :D

But, then again, not all guys have a choice at that age, even if they go to school "prepared".

I remember how I was...

Thanks!

When you are that age you need to maybe take care of things more than once.
My son also said he went to the boys room and either put cold water on hand to stop it or went below and took things in hand again.
Just repeating what worked for him.

I just got over this problem!

I handled my problem in the same way artlady's son did, and it worked okay for me. Actually, in the morning, never at school.

A popular place is the shower. It's in the morning, you get privacy, and there are a couple other pros that I don't want to mention ;).

Yes, this is a very common issue that almost all teen males deal with.

To Altenweg:

No, it doesn't hurt, unless your pants are real tight or something. Its just uncomfortable and you need to make sure its not noticeable, but that's better than walking around with it full on, right?

Yikes, that's a gray area.

I don't think it's illegal to tell you but moral, I'm not sure about that. I know I wouldn't want my son learning about masturbation on the internet.

I almost want to tell you to Google it but I'm worried about the misinformation you may get.

Legal eagles, Scott, Judy, Chuck, Exy, am I going to jail if I give a 14 year old instructions on how to masturbate?

As you grow up going through puberty you are going to have to deal with erections in the best way possible.

Most have given you advice on how to deal with them and the way I did was to relieve myself and then try not to think about things that give me erections, its going to be hard [sorry] to keep them at bay, but over time this will settle down.. my friend had a jock strap on most of the time at school so that his erection could be kept hidden from others.
I also tried meditation for a while or when I got an erection I thought of the most ugly looking thing on earth and after a while it went down.

Hope that helps.

Hi, MYDEARFRIEND!

I had a friend who would wear a jock strap starting in the later elementary school years.

Thank you for "bringing up" that idea! Pun intended! :)

Tuck down to the right or left leg, or straight up in the waist band like someone already said. Problem solved.

And if you can't adjust 'cause you're in public, carry a notebook in front of you.

You can flick your balls, it takes your mind off the erection and focuses on the pain thus no erection.

Thanks!

Ok people here have given you good suggestions! Take them!

As for the masturbation.. you use your hands.. just touch yourself and do what feels good, you should get it in no time

LOL I know exactly what you're going through buddy.. this used to happen to me ALL the time. It always seemed to be the worst times as well, like in class when your teacher wants you to move seats or do a problem on the board (cue the feeling of sheer dread).

Don't worry though it will pass TRUST. Its just your age.. the best thing to do is tuck the overactive chap tightly (no too tightly mindfor obvious reasons) into your belt when he's *ahem* sleeeping? Then your sorted bruv.. and no I didn't get the idea from superbad.. they got it from me! ;)
