Hi,

Our 28i Junior Boiler was fitted, and when we have the heating on we get a banging very loud that "travels" if we turn the valve on the radiator - temporarily stopping then moving to the next one.

We have bled all the radiators several times, without helping, a plumber who was doing some other work advises that the inflow and outflow are the wrong wauy round, meaning the wather is going the wrong way through the system causing the banging, and wants to sell us bi directional valves.

However a heating engineer I spoke to advised that if the pipes were the wrong way round then it simply would not work at all.

Any ideas ? The banging is stopping us putting the heating on - and its getting cold!

Actually you need to contact the installer of your system since they are responsible for taking care of the problem if under warranty.

Since this is a boiler system and more complex that a standard forced air system I recommend you have a local professional do an on site inspection so the entire system can be seen and a proper diagnosis made. Now that is only if the original installer will not help you out.

These types of items are just about impossible to figure out on a message board since we cannot be there to actually hear and see this type of problem but I would get it fixed ASAP so as to prevent any damage.
