Hello,
I spoke to an immigration officer who told me that my 751 was about to be scheduled for an interview.
Does anyone have experience with such an interview? Isn't it unusual to have an interview scheduled on a 751?
I was arrested once but the case was later dismissed. I was innocent anyhow but the way I was treated was and still is very disrespectful.
Furthermore, my wife and I did not file any tax returns. Nor do we have joint bank accounts. We married out of love and were a couple years before we got married. We thought many times about divorce but have not done so yet.
What can I expect during the interview. It certainly was no fraud, but nevertheless I am a little concerned about deportation. I just saw a few years back what authorities can do with you. Very scary.
Can anybody ease my mind with their experiences?
Thank you.

Most 751's are interviewed. For the arrest, bring certified copies of (1) charging document, (2) court order, and (3) court disposition. If asked, focus on the facts, not the subjective treatment during the process.

File your taxes now, married. Bring other evidence of living together (cohabitation) and shared income and expenses (co-mingling funds). If you don't have a lot of these, bring affidavits from co-workers, neighbors, friends evidencing your marriage.

If you are truly married, have a shared life, and don't lie, you will be approved. Good luck.
