I have a very old home and I would like to side it. My problem is that the foundation is old and had been patched many times and a portion of the foundation sticks out further than the body of the house by about 4 inches. Is there a thin covering that can be purchased to cover the foundation? I have attached a metal trim that sticks out about 4 inches so I can start my siding. Im looking for suggestions. I live in the north where the it gets pretty cold in the winter.

I have ways to deal with this. Pic would be perfect show front views and side view looking down the side of the foundation to see the bump out and the side of the house.
