How do I get rid of scabs that have formed from popping a zit? I know I could just NOT pop the zit, but it irritates me to the point where I have to talk myself out of doing it, and then I do anyway. Anyway, what is the most quick way to get rid of a scab caused by popping a zit?

ozonol. A little dab on the spot for overnight. Don't sleep on that side (if you can possibly help it. The next morning the scab will be gone and the healing process will not be disturbed. Ozonol is an old fashiioned antiseptic cream that they still sell in drug stores. Hope this helps, chi If you can't find that then use plain old hydrocortisone cream which is good for making blemishes disappear overnight.

Ozonol I'll have to keep that in mind the next I do the same thing to myself. Usually I wipe the spot with rubbing alcohol and then use neosporin. But the Ozonol sounds like it works much faster. Thanks tickle!!

Thank you for the advice, I will look for that stuff. Regular hyocortisone takes a few days to work... blugh

Desitin (which is diaper rash ointment) works well too girls.

It isn't an afterthought, I just couldn't think of the name of the ointment. Must have been a 'seniors moment' !

It is very hard to keep your hands away, but bite your fingers every time you think of touching a zit. Because you know what, it looks ten times worse after you play around with it, but hardly looks like anything to anyone else before you start. I had one for the first time in years a few weeks ago and I didn't follow my advice, so used hydrocortisone cream nightly.

Hi All!

I'll have to keep these other remedies in mind and check them out! It's already been mentioned, but I do use Neosporin. Seems to work!

Thanks!
