My sons father is out of the picture he is on the birth certifcate and my son has his last name. He does not see him nor give child support . My husband wants to adopt my son what do I need to do... please help

From what I understand the parent who isn't doing anything still have right's I don't know why but they do. He has to give up his rights as the custodial father. Get in contact with him if you can't hire a lawyer to get things started.
