Help me with this question... I need to pass it to my prof as soon as possible... help me..

>> 1) A 300-g objects slides 80 cm along a horizontal tabletop. Howmuch work is done in overcoming friction between the object and the table if the coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.20?

2) Compute the work done against gravity by a pump that discharges 600 liters of fuel oil into a tank 20 m above the pump's intake. One cubic cm fuel has a mass of 0.82 g. one liter is 1000 cm3.

I need it with solution... tnx in advance...

2. Work done = Force x Distance

The force here is equal to the weight of the 600 litres of oil. Can you find its weight? Then, multiply that by the height concerned.

1. You must have some formula that includes the coefficient of friction. Try using it.
