We need help with our water pressure. We just bought this home. The house is 6yrs old. We had a home inspection done, but no problems related to water pressure were found. After we moved in, we noticed we have no shower pressure in the master bath. The Washing Machine takes forever to fill up. It seems like the toliets have good suction and pressure. Not sure what the pipes are in the home, but again it is 6yrs old. The home is built a Crawl Space and it is a Drees home.

Please help! I can't imagine a 6yr old house would have clogged pipes or corision.

Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Unscrew the hoses from the washer and check and clean the screens. The shower head has a water saver in it that may be clogged. This water saver's removable. Unscrew the shower head and see a rubber washer with holes in it. Pry it out and toss it. Reassemble and test. Pressure better now? Tom

Jeff,
You didn't say if the house is on municipal water or a well. I city water, test your outside spigots. If they have plenty of pressure, it's likely the problem is in the aerators and screens. If you're on a well, do the same test. A bad pressure tank will cause the pressure to be low except when the well pump is running.
