Has anyone recently used Makari products and had decent results? All the posts that has been written were not very positive. Anything new about the Makari line?

Makari did work for me. I mainly used the Makari night cream. It had lightened me about 3 shades within about 1.5 months. Some people have breakouts, and I believe this is because they use many hydrogenated oils as well as silicones, both which can clog the pores and cause acne. I did not get a breakout, but I did get a zit or 2 here and there. I used face exfoliators a few times a week to help avoid breakouts and I would sometimes use toothpaste as a spot treatment that really helped to dry the acne quicker.

I was trying to see what else they may have put in their products, as they had only mentioned mulberry root extract, bearberry leaves extract, vitamin C, and different forms of vitamin A. I knew these ingredients help to lighten, but their product dramatically help me to lighten quickly, so I am wondering what else they have secretely put in there.

Is there any reason why you stopped using the makari? Did you ever try the beauty milk, I hear that is good..

I had considered the body milk, but so many people were saying it does not lighten as well because it's more diluted into a lotion but the price is still high. Also that hypercream worked just as good for much cheaper. But,I also read many people who got really good results from mixing the body milk with the day cream, but that 's way too much money. Because the day cream works really well but in a tiny jar. So, I stuck with the night cream. Then I started getting these stretch marks on the inner area of my elbows which was strange because I was only using the Makari and Diana Stalder papaya kojic soap. But, both weren't supposed to do that and I only way about 126 lbs. But, I'm the only one that said it happened to me as everyone else say that didn't happen to them.

But, it was mainly the price. Both the night cream and lightening milk cost about $47 plus tax and shipping and handling. So that around $50.00+about every 3-4 weeks as I was lightening my face, neck, ears, hands, shoulders, and arms. I had spent hundreds of dollars there and still had much more to lighten. I did get a few specials like 10-35% discount once in awhile, but I'm no wealthy lady... I have to eat and pay bills too... lol

So looking at the ingredients of their products, these are the actives they have listed:

Night Cream:
Arbutin
Carrot Oil
Retinyl propionate (a tolerable form of vitamin A, "is not absorbed by the skin and is mostly pointless")
Glycyrrhetinic Acid
Tocopheryl Acetate (synthetic form of vitamin E)
Licorice Extract
Mulberry Root Extract

Day Cream:
Mulberry Root Extract
Carrot Extract
Glycyrrhetinic Acid
Arbutin
Retinyl Propionate
Tocopheryl Acetate
Salicylic Acid
Licorice Extract

Body Beautifying Milk:
Panthenol (vitamin B5)
Mulberry Root Extract
Bearberry Extract
Licorice Extract
Glycyrrhetinic Acid
Carrot Oil
Retinyl Propionate
Tocopheryl Acetate

I'm unsure if carrot oil or carrot extract has anything to do with lightening, I have to read more about it. I left out the caviar cream because many people's skin break out from using this, as I believe it's meant for much older and dryer skin as caviar helps keep skin to look youthful. I tried not to leave any of the actives out. But, if this is all of their active ingredients, then they definitely lighten, unless they also have ingredients I'm unsure?

Yes I have heard positive things about the night cream and was leaning towards that then I read it was only for dry skin and my face is really oily. Now how is the night cream for the body because my body is dry.

I have real oily skin too on my face. So I was using the papaya kojic soap 2x daily and facial scrub 2x weekly.. but the facial scrubs must be very fine so it will not tear the skin. The night cream will lighten your body as light as it will lighten your face. It lightened my arms and hands the same color as my face, though it usually takes longer. I did see results within 3-4 weeks. So it will keep your skin soft. Some people use the day cream or the body milk. I have used the day cream and it works just sa good, but the jar is 2 or 3 times smaller than the night cream and won't last as long if you use 2x a day. Some people did say they lightened very well on their face with the lightening milk, so it might work. Best to ketch them when they have a special or you can get a 10% discount in a few ways as well.

OK thanks so much, yea I did use the papaya kojic soap from DS before and it cleared up my oilyness. Now I'm using Likas soap. I think I'm going to try the night cream. How long did your results last and leave after you stopped with the products

I heard a lot of good things about the Likas soap. Well, I saw results within a couple of weeks. And it was easy to maintain, like 3 times a week. After I stopped using it I didn't get dark as quick compared to bio claire. Bio claire I would darken that same day or the next. But makari takes a few days to darken, so I would say within a month I think I was back to where I started. My arms went back to normal too, but not as dark as they were once before from being really tanned. You just have to really keep an eye on how your skin reacts to it as the night creamis oily. Have good cleansers and a toner. When I did get a zit from makari it would be like one or two, but they were real big. So I would apply toothpaste on it, let it dry, rinse, and repeat also I would put facial mask on the zit overnight, this really helped stabilize some of the oil in my skin.

I just recently ordered the Makari sample. It says that it is good for 4 uses which would be two days if you use it twice a day. However I've been using a small amount and it's going on day 5. The first night I used it I woke up with a glowing bright tone. Omg VERY VERY VERY surprised. When I received it I wasn't sure how to use the products so I went to the Makari website and read up on it and read testimonys. Several people spoke about using it the first night and than having a bright complexion the next day. I was like BLAH BLAH BLAH Yea right!! When I woke up the next morning and washed my face I was like so surprised. Well I have a little left and I'm really looking forward to using the line of Makari. Thanks Golden Girl for sharing your results that's what gave me the push to try the product. With my oily skin (face) I was nervous but so far not a sign of a breakout, just using my normal facial cleaning products. :D

Just keep an eye on it though. I know that when I first used it, it was a couple of months before I saw the breakout.

Mind you when I tried it several months later I didn't have the same reaction, so hopefully they have reformulated it and discarded the ingredient which was causing the skin problems.

That's great that it's working for you! Which sample did they send? Yes, Maharani is right, the zit can sneak up on you so be prepared and do what you can to avoid them. Much luck

They sent the Beauty milk and serum. I just purchased a peel wash I paid like $85 for it so I hope that will help control any breakouts. I just used that and my skin feels lovely

I think makari is d best lighting product for lightnen your skin in natural way , no side effects , but it is too much expenive , u need more den 2k ml cream for 4 to 5 shade . U can get 1 shade lighter in one month* < for whole body> wit all precautions *
So if you use it for 5 months you need more den 1k ml cream approx*

*precaution as in - sun protection and less sweatning
*1 shade lighter in one month*- by my personal experience

I agree Blue, makari is a very good lightener and it lightens fast. But, some may get bad acne from it, luckily mine wasn't as bad as they were mild and seldom. But, to me Makari's big side efect is how it can easily lighten the pockets.. lol. Sometimes I'm tempted to go back to Makari, but the price can really add up. Especially when trying to lighten the body. It seems as though their active ingredients are licorice, bearberry, and mulberry in which I know these are lighteners, but I did not know they were that potent...

I can't imagine using makari for the body. It would work out way too expensive. And I know that I have spent a pretty penny on skin lightening products, believe me.

I'm thinking of eventually using the night cream for my arms!!

Makari night cream will definitely lighten your arms and quick too. Just be cautious not to put too much on the inner fold of your arms because I may be wrong, but I used it a lot there too and then I started to get red stretch marks. The only other product I was using there was the Diana Stalder papaya kojic soap which never gave it to any areas. But, for some they say that has never happened to them.

In my state there is no taxes so with that little bonus I do get to save a bit.

When I first used makari, I got spots around my nose and chin, so although I lightened, it was definitely not a good look. I know that others have had a similar experience. I very very rarely get a spot, so I know that it was the makari causing the outbreak.

What causes the spots/breakout with Makari?

Hello so Sexy, The Makari kit that comes with the Body Milk, Caviar Cream, soap, and moisturising lotion. It costed me 100 bucks so I would love to know how long I can expect this kit to last me.

At this time, I don't know what else to use, other than being recommended to incorporate niacinamide, msm, turmeric, orally, and alpha-arbutin, topically, into my regimen, and to apply liberally, which I can't imagine since the bottles look gorgeous, but quite small.

I just don't see any other product without positive reviews either, aside from obtaining pure alpha-arbutin and creating a 5% cream-- and adding other strongs thinngs to it which makes me think alone it wouldn't work?

Yep. I guess alternating 2 brands every few months may help with this. I believe alpha-arbutin is less potent than Hq but more potent than regular arbutin, and it will take longer to see lightening results.

That sounds too lovely.. maybe I should have went to the military after all..

The eason why makari products often causes breakouts is because they use only hydrogentated oils which causes free radicals damage, clogged pores which results into acne, and also age your skin ni the long run.
