hipinflorida

My very good friend in Florida needs a new hip and he is underemployed and uninsured. He is also in pain all of the time and he is too young to be so incapacitated, he has trouble working as he cannot get down on the floor and sit or stand for any length of time. Does anyone know who he can contact or what he can do to get this much needed surgery?
Thank you,

Unless he gets a job where he is part of a group plan, it is unlikely that any company will cover this procedure because it is considered a preexisting condition.
Since you said he is "underemployed", I'm assuming you're saying that he doesn't make much money- has he checked into Medicaid? It would be worth looking into to see if he qualifies for this program which is income-based.
Also, has he looked into CareCredit? This is a credit company that fronts the bill for medical expenses and then you pay back the balance in installments with a fairly low interest rate.
