I am 18 years old. When I met my boyfriend, I was 140 pounds, and was slowly moving down the scale. Its been almost 7 monthes, and I am up to 165 pounds. I know its brutal. Here's the history to how it happened. Both me and my boyfriend are smokers. We decided that we wanted to quit, so we try it. And that's when I dropped on food like no tomorrow. Its like I started eating, and eating, and eating, and couldn't stop myself. Now I'm smoking again, but I am eating more then I have while I quit something.

I don't know if it's that I got into habit or if it's a craving now?

HELP!

Most people gain weight when quitting smoking. It helps fill the empty feeling when you quit.

For you it appears you got into the habit of eating more/more often.

You need to retrain your mind by hitting a strict diet for a while. At first just focus on portion control. If you then want to lose weight, you can start cutting calories harder.

What do you eat? Is it junkfood, pasta, take out?

And when do you eat? Do you eat when your feeling down, when your sitting around with friends [social eating], when your bored on the couch?

If your serious about losing weight and keeping it off you have to get some self control.

If your serious about losing weight and keeping it off you have to get up and move. Start exercising. Join a gym, there are some gyms that are only 20$ a month!

You need to be active, eat healthy and have some self control.

It's either you do it the healthy old fashioned way or you develop some sort of eating disorder.

Healthy way is the best way to go.
